About The Trust

Established by the Old Achimotan Association in the United Kingdom, by a Trust Deed dated 20 December 1986. The objects of the Achimota Trust, as set out in the Trust Deed are:

The provision of scholarships at Achimota School
The giving of special prizes, exhibitions or rewards to students at Achimota School
The promotion of scholarship, games or extra curricular activities at Achimota School either by the provision or endowment of prizes, bursaries or scholarships or by the making of grants or gifts or otherwise
The provision (or where appropriate the replacement or repair) of plant equipment furniture or other chattels or the provision of other amenities or services for the benefit of Achimota School
The improvement of the site of Achimota School and its buildings, playing fields and fixed and other equipment and assets making new additions thereto or otherwise
The assistance of any charitable clubs or societies the membership of which is at that time confined to students at Achimota School.
The endowment of Achimota School or of any charitable funds connected therewith
The assistance of any charitable institution or enterprise associated with Achimota School

The Trust relies on donations to carry out its work.

Since its inception it has provided funds for several projects.

Donations can be made in a variety of ways but donors who are tax payers are urged to use the Gift Aid scheme which enables the Trust to reclaim from the Inland Revenue tax on donations.
